180 - 'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Abd al-Hamid al-Maymuni narrated to me, saying: I said to Abu 'Abd Allah: "Do you know of anyone who refrained from fighting thieves out of religious scruples?" He said: "No." I said to him: "(Is it the same) regarding whether one goes out to confront them?" He said: "And would they leave you alone until you go out to confront them? They are more wicked than that."
