196 - Ibrahim ibn Isma'il ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Zurarah narrated to us, [who said:] Abu al-Walid al-Tayalisi narrated to us, [who said:] Ibrahim ibn Sa'd narrated to us, [who said:] My father informed me, from Abu 'Ubaydah ibn Muhammad ibn 'Ammar, from Talha ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Awf, from Sa'id ibn Zayd, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Whoever is killed in defense of his property is a martyr, whoever is killed in defense of his family is a martyr, whoever is killed in defense of his religion is a martyr, and whoever is killed in defense of his blood is a martyr."
