216 - Yazid ibn 'Abd Allah al-Asbahani informed me, saying: Yahya ibn al-Rabi' narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, Dawud, and Humayd, from Mujahid, regarding the verse: "Who sees you when you stand, and your movements among those who prostrate" [Surah ash-Shu'ara: 219]: That the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to see his companions during his prayer from behind him, just as he saw them from before him.
