228 - Ali ibn al-Hasan ibn Harun informed me, saying: I said to Abdullah ibn Ahmad ibn Hanbal: 'What poetry from the Maghazi (Military Expeditions) did Abu Abd Allah (Ahmad ibn Hanbal) write down?' He replied: 'He wrote down the poetry in which the Muslims satirized the polytheists, and he did not write down the satire of the polytheists against the Muslims.'
