248 - Ahmad ibn Asram informed me, saying: Al-Ala' ibn Amr narrated to us, saying: Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, saying: Layth narrated to us, from Mujahid, who said: "He will seat him with Him upon the Throne."
249 - Abu Bakr al-Marrudhi read the book of al-Maqam al-Mahmud (The Praised Station) to us once in the Jami' Mosque. I did not look into the book and did not take it [from him], then I left for Kirman and returned to find that al-Marrudhi had passed away, may Allah have mercy on him.
٢٤٨ - وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَصْرَمَ، قَالَ: ثَنَا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: ثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قَالَ: «يُقْعِدْهُ مَعَهُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ» ⦗٢١٧⦘.
٢٤٩ - قَرَأَ عَلَيْنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ كِتَابَ الْمَقَامِ الْمَحْمُودَ مَرَّةً وَاحِدَةً فِي مَسْجِدِ الْجَامِعِ فَلَمْ أَنْظُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ وَلَمْ آخُذْهُ، وَخَرَجْتُ إِلَى كَرْمَانَ فَرَجَعْتُ وَقَدْ مَاتَ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ
