305 - Abu Bakr narrated to us, saying: I asked Abu 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abd al-Nur about the merit of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, [as mentioned in] the hadith of Mujahid. He said: "By Allah, there is no merit of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, like it. I reached our shaykhs [holding] that view; they would receive it with acceptance, rejoice in it, and no one rejects it except for an evil Jahmi man."
٣٠٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قالِ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ النُّورِ عَنْ فَضِيلَةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، حَدِيثِ مُجَاهِدٍ، فَقَالَ: «وَاللَّهِ مَا لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَضِيلَةٌ مِثْلُهَا، أَدْرَكْتُ شُيُوخَنَا عَلَى ذَلِكَ يَتَلَقَّوْنَهُ بِالْقَبُولِ، وَيُسَرُّونَ بِهَا، وَلَا يَرُدُّهَا إِلَّا رَجُلُ سُوءٍ جَهْمِيِّ»
