314 - Abu Bakr narrated to us, saying: I asked al-Hasan ibn al-Fadl about the hadith of Mujahid, "He shall seat him upon the Throne." He said: Harun ibn Ma'ruf and Uthman narrated to us, from Ibn Fudayl, from Layth, from Mujahid, regarding the verse: "It may be that your Lord will raise you to a Praised Station" [Al-Isra: 79], he said: "He shall seat him upon the Throne." He said: And he stated, "Whoever rejects these hadiths is an innovator and misguided." He added, "We have not known anyone to reject it except someone who has a corruption in his heart; he is to be boycotted and not spoken to."
