333 - Muhammad informed us, saying: Waki' narrated to us, from Abu Bakr al-Hudhali, from al-Hasan, who said: 'Ali said: "When the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, passed away, we looked into our affairs and found that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, had put Abu Bakr forward in the prayer. So, we were pleased for our worldly affairs with what the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was pleased with for our religion; thus, we put Abu Bakr forward—may Allah have mercy on him."
