51 - Muhammad informed us, saying: Waki' informed us, from Ibn Abi Khalid, who said: I heard Mus'ab ibn Sa'd saying: Ali said some words that were accurate: "It is a duty upon the Imam to rule by what Allah has revealed and to fulfill the trust. When he does that, it becomes a duty upon the Muslims to listen, to obey, and to respond when they are summoned."
٥١ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَ وَكِيعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُصْعَبَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَلِيٌّ كَلِمَاتٍ أَصَابَ فِيهِنَّ: «حَقٌّ عَلَى الْإِمَامِ أَنْ يَحْكُمَ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ، وَأَنْ يُؤَدِّيَ الْأَمَانَةَ، فَإِذَا فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَنْ يَسْمَعُوا، وَأَنْ يُطِيعُوا، وَيُجِيبُوا إِذَا دُعُوا»
