Muhammad informed us, saying: Waki' reported to us, from Malik, from Mighwal, from Talhah ibn Musarrif, who said: Khalid ibn al-Walid said: "Let no one deprive a covenanted person (mu'ahad) of even a needle, nor walk three steps in order to be appointed in authority over two men, nor seek any calamity for the Imam of the Muslims."
