83 - Musa ibn Sahl al-Sawi informed us, saying: Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Asadi narrated to us, saying: Ibrahim ibn Ya'qub al-Juzajani narrated to us, from Isma'il ibn Sa'id al-Shalinji, who said: "I asked Ahmad: What is the position regarding the hadiths that have come down from the Prophet (peace be upon him), in some of which he commanded hearing and obedience during hardship and ease, while in others he said—when it was said to him that they [the rulers] withhold the fay' (spoils of war) and the 'ata' (stipends)—he said: 'Fight them.'"
٨٣ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ سَهْلٍ السَّاوِي، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَسَدِيُّ، قَالَ: ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْجُوزَجَانِيُّ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الشَّالِنْجِيِّ، قَالَ: " سَأَلْتُ أَحْمَدَ: مَا الْقَوْلُ فِي الْأَحَادِيثِ الَّتِي جَاءَتْ عَنِ ⦗١٢٩⦘ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَمَرَ فِي بَعْضِهَا بِالسَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ فِي الْعُسْرِ وَالْيُسْرِ، وَقَالَ فِي بَعْضِهَا قِيلَ لَهُ: يُحْرَمُونَ مِنَ الْفَيْءِ وَالْعَطَاءِ، قَالَ: «قَاتِلُوهُمْ»
