Muhammad ibn Ali informed us that Muhanna narrated to them, saying: Khalid ibn Khidash narrated to me, saying: 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, from Ma'mar, from Ibn Abi Dhi'b, from Sa'id, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said to Quraysh: "It is incumbent upon you by right that when you are entrusted, you fulfill the trust; when you judge, you judge justly; and when you are asked for mercy, you show mercy. Whoever does not do that, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all of mankind." Ahmad then said: "I do not recognize it," [meaning this particular chain or phrasing], except that Ma'mar has indeed narrated more than one hadith from Ibn Abi Dhi'b.
