460 - Abu Bakr al-Marwudhi informed us, saying: I asked Abu 'Abd Allah about the statement of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, to 'Ali: "You are to me in the position that Aaron was to Moses." What is its explanation? He replied: "Be silent about this; do not ask about this report; [accept it] as it has come."
٤٦٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِعَلِيٍّ: «أَنْتَ مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى» ، أَيْشِ تَفْسِيرُهُ؟ قَالَ: «اسْكُتْ عَنْ هَذَا، لَا تَسْأَلْ عَنْ ذَا الْخَبَرِ، كَمَا جَاءَ»
