464 - Harb ibn Isma'il al-Kirmani informed me, saying: I said to Ishaq—meaning Ibn Rahwayh—regarding the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to 'Ali: 'You will be my aide in the watering of my Hawd (Cistern):' He said: 'It is in this world; he defends it, invites people to it, and clarifies matters to them, and similar words [to that effect], except that it is in this world.'
٤٦٤ - أَخْبَرَنِي حَرْبُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْكَرْمَانِيُّ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِإِسْحَاقَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ رَاهَوَيْهِ: قَوْلُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِعَلِيٍّ: «أَنْتَ عَوْنًا لِي عَلَى عَقْرِ حَوْضِي» ، قَالَ: «هُوَ فِي الدُّنْيَا، يَذُودُ عَنْهُ، وَيَدْعُو إِلَيْهِ، وَيُبَيِّنُ لَهُمْ، وَنَحْوَ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الْكَلَامِ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا»
