470 - Harun ibn Ziyad informed us, saying: Ibn Abi 'Umar reported to us, saying: Sufyan reported to us, from Mis'ar, from 'Uqbah, who said: 'Ali would come to us in the market, and when he appeared, they would say: "Budushkum has come to you," meaning the one with the big belly. He would say to them: "Indeed, its lower part is fat, and its upper part is knowledge."
٤٧٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، قَالَ: ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ⦗٣٥٣⦘، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ عَلِيٌّ يَأْتِينَا فِي السُّوقِ فَيَقُولُونَ إِذَا اطَّلَعَ: قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ بوذشكم، يَعْنُونَ عَظِيمَ الْبَطْنِ، فَيَقُولُ لَهُمْ: «إِنَّ أَسْفَلُهُ شَحْمٌ، وَإِنَّ أَعْلَاهُ عِلْمٌ»
