484 - 'Abd Allah ibn Ahmad informed us, saying: My father said: "We differed regarding it at the door of Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah, and he—I think it was Aswad ibn Salim—said: 'Why is there disagreement regarding this?' while we asserted the testimony [for them]."
٤٨٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، قَالَ: قَالَ أَبِي: " اخْتَلَفْنَا فِيهَا عَلَى بَابِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُلَيَّةَ فَقَالَ: أَظُنُّهُ أَسْوَدَ بْنَ سَالِمٍ: لِمَ خِلَافٌ بِهَذَا , وَقُلْنَا نَحْنُ بِالشَّهَادَةِ "
