Abu 'Abd Allah said: I argued against them using the hadith of Ibn Abi 'Arubah, from Qatadah, from Anas, that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Be still, for there is upon you nothing but a Prophet, a Truthful One (Siddiq), and a martyr."
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ: وَاحْتَجَجْتُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِحَدِيثِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «اسْكُنْ , فَمَا عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا نَبِيُّ، وَصِدِّيقٌ، وَشَهِيدٌ»
