887 - Muhammad ibn al-Husayn informed me that al-Fadl narrated to them, saying: I heard Abu 'Abd Allah [Ahmad ibn Hanbal], and it was said to him: "Is the wretched person the one who was destined for wretchedness in his mother's womb?" He replied: "Yes, the wretched person is the one who was destined for wretchedness in his mother's womb."
٨٨٧ - وَأَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، أَنَّ الْفَضْلَ حَدَّثَهُمْ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، وَقِيلَ لَهُ: الشَّقِيُّ مَنْ شَقِيَ فِي بَطْنِ أُمِّهِ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ، الشَّقِيُّ مَنْ شَقِيَ فِي بَطْنِ أُمِّهِ»
