910 - 'Ismah ibn 'Asim informed me, saying: Hanbal narrated to us, saying: I heard Abu 'Abd Allah say: "Adultery is by [Allah's] decree, and helplessness and intelligence are by [Allah's] decree. Allah has decreed that upon the servants; so whoever commits any of that, his affair is with Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: if He wills, He punishes him, and if He wills, He forgives him; and these are all part of Allah's decree."
٩١٠ - أَخْبَرَنِي عِصْمَةُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا حَنْبَلٌ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: «الزِّنَا بِقَدَرٍ وَالْعَجْزُ وَالْكَيْسُ بِقَدَرٍ، قَدَّرَ اللَّهُ ذَلِكَ عَلَى الْعِبَادِ، فَمَنْ أَتَى مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا فَأَمْرُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِنْ شَاءَ عَذَّبَهُ وَإِنْ شَاءَ غَفَرَ، وَهُنَّ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللَّهِ»
