913 - Hanbal said: Al-Humaydi narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us, from 'Amr, who said: I said to Ibn Munabbih when I entered upon him and he fed me from a nut-tree in his house: I wish you had never written a book on the Decree (al-qadar) at all. He replied: And I wish I had not done so. Hanbal said: I asked Abu 'Abd Allah [Ahmad ibn Hanbal] about that, and he said: He means Wahb's book, the Book of Wisdom, in which he mentions sins and declares the Lord, the Exalted and Majestic, free from defects and venerates Him. Abu 'Abd Allah said: And these people use it as an argument, meaning the Qadariyyah.
