915 - Abd al-Malik al-Maymuni informed us, saying: Harun ibn Ma'ruf narrated to me, saying: Sufyan narrated to me, from 'Amr, who said: I said to Ibn Munabbih, and I had come to him and entered upon him, and he fed me a walnut from a walnut tree in the house. I said: "I wish you had never written a book on al-qadar (divine decree)." He replied: "And I too wish that I had not done so."
