923 - 'Ismah ibn 'Isam informed me, saying: Hanbal narrated to us, saying: Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to me, saying: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Sa'd narrated to us. And Abu Yahya Zakariyya ibn Yahya informed me, saying: Abu Talib narrated to us, saying: Ahmad narrated to us, saying: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Mansur ibn Sa'd, from 'Ammar ibn Abi 'Ammar, who said: I asked Abu Hurayrah about the Qadar (divine decree), and he said: "The end of the verse in [Surat] al-Fath is sufficient for you." Abu 'Abd Allah said: "His saying: 'That is their description in the Torah, and their description in the Gospel' [al-Fath: 29]." Abu Talib added: "So Allah, Might and Majestic is He, described them in the Torah and the Gospel before He created them."
٩٢٣ - وَأَخْبَرَنِي عِصْمَةُ بْنُ عِصَامٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا حَنْبَلٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو يَحْيَى زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ: ثَنَا أَبُو طَالِبٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ الْقَدَرِ، قَالَ: «تَكْفِيكَ آخِرُ الْآيَةِ فِي الْفَتْحِ» ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ: قَوْلُهُ: {ذَلِكَ مَثَلُهُمْ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ، وَمَثَلُهُمْ فِي الْإِنْجِيلِ} [الفتح: ٢٩] . زَادَ أَبُو طَالِبٍ: فَوَصَفَهُمُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَالْإِنْجِيلِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْلُقَهُمْ
