924 - Muhammad ibn 'Ali informed us, saying: Muhanna narrated to us, saying: I heard Ahmad say: Hushaym narrated to us, saying: Dawud ibn Abi Hind informed us, from Mutarrif ibn al-Shikhkhir, who said: "We have not been left to the Qadar (divine decree), yet it is to Him that we shall return."
٩٢٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: ثَنَا مُهَنَّى، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَحْمَدَ، يَقُولُ: حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، قَالَ: «لَمْ نُوَكَّلْ إِلَى الْقَدَرِ، وَإِلَيْهِ نَصِيرُ»
