941 - Abd al-Malik ibn Abd al-Hamid informed me, saying: A man said to Ahmad ibn Hanbal: A man said, "I am a disbeliever in a Lord who provides sustenance to Ashnas." He replied: This man is a disbeliever. Al-Maymuni said in another place: I heard Abu Abd Allah say, following the statement of this shaykh: This is disbelief in Allah.
٩٤١ - أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِأَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ: قَالَ رَجُلٌ: أَنَا كَافِرٌ بِرَبٍّ يَرْزُقُ أَشْنَاسَ، فَقَالَ: هَذَا كَافِرٌ، وَقَالَ الْمَيْمُونِيُّ فِي مَوْضِعٍ آخَرَ: فَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ فِي عَقِبِ كَلَامِ هَذَا الشَّيْخِ: هَذَا هُوَ الْكُفْرُ بِاللَّهِ
