942 - Abu Bakr al-Marrudhi informed us, saying: Sulayman ibn Dawud narrated to us, saying: Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us, saying: Habib ibn al-Shahid narrated to us, saying: Iyas ibn Mu'awiyah said: I have never debated anyone from the people of innovation (Ahl al-Ahwa') except for the Qadariyyah. I said to them: Tell me, what is injustice (zulm) according to the language of the Arabs? They replied: That a man takes what does not belong to him. He said: I replied: Yet everything belongs to Allah.
٩٤٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ، قَالَ: ثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا حَبِيبُ بْنُ الشَّهِيدِ، قَالَ: قَالَ إِيَاسُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ: مَا كَلَّمْتُ أَحَدًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْأَهْوَاءِ إِلَّا الْقَدَرِيَّةَ، قُلْتُ لَهُمْ: أَخْبِرُونِي عَنِ الظُّلْمِ مَا هُوَ كَلَامُ الْعَرَبِ؟ قَالُوا: أَنْ يَأْخُذَ الرَّجُلُ مَا لَيْسَ لَهُ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَهُ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ
