977 - Yusuf ibn Musa informed me that Abu Abd Allah was asked, 'What is the Murji'ah?' He said: 'The one who says: Faith is [merely] speech.' It was said: 'What about the one who says: Faith increases and decreases?' He said: 'I do not know what this is.'
٩٧٧ - أَخْبَرَنِي يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ سُئِلَ: مَا الْمُرْجِئَةُ؟ قَالَ: " الَّذِي يَقُولُ: الْإِيمَانُ قَوْلٌ ". قِيلَ: فَالَّذِي يَقُولُ: الْإِيمَانُ يَزِيدُ وَيَنْقُصُ؟ ⦗٥٧٠⦘ قَالَ: «مَا أَدْرِي مَا هَذَا»
