1023 - 'Abd al-Malik informed me, saying: Surayj ibn al-Nu'man narrated to us, saying: I asked Yahya ibn Sulaym al-Ta'ifi, while we were behind the Maqam (Station of Ibrahim): "What do the Murji'ah say?" He said: "He jumped at me and said: 'They say: Tawaf (circumambulation) of this House is not part of faith.'"
١٠٢٣ - وَأَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، قَالَ: ثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ سُلَيْمٍ الطَّائِفِيَّ، وَنَحْنُ خَلْفَ الْمَقَامِ: أَيْشِ تَقُولُ الْمُرْجِئَةُ؟ قَالَ: فَوَثَبَ فِي وَجْهِي، وَقَالَ: " يَقُولُونَ: لَيْسَ الطَّوَافُ بِهَذَا الْبَيْتِ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ "
