1024 - Sulayman ibn al-Ash'ath informed us, saying: Ishaq ibn Rahawayh narrated to us, saying: Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, saying: Abu Yusuf offered testimony before Sharik, so he said to him: "Stand up [and leave]," and he refused to accept his testimony. It was said to him: "You are rejecting his testimony?" He replied: "Shall I accept the testimony of a man who says that prayer is not part of faith?"
١٠٢٤ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْأَشْعَثِ، قَالَ: ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ رَاهَوَيْهِ، قَالَ: ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، قَالَ: شَهِدَ أَبُو يُوسُفَ عِنْدَ شَرِيكٍ بِشَهَادَةٍ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: قُمْ، وَأَبَى أَنْ يُجِيزَ شَهَادَتَهُ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ: تُرَدُّ شَهَادَتُهُ، فَقَالَ: " أُجِيزُ شَهَادَةَ رَجُلٍ يَقُولُ: الصَّلَاةُ لَيْسَتْ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ؟ "
