1075 - Abu Bakr al-Marrudhi informed us, saying: Abu Abd Allah narrated to us. And al-Maymuni informed us [604], saying: Ibn Hanbal narrated to us, saying: Mu'ammal ibn Isma'il narrated to us, saying: Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us, saying: I heard Hisham saying: Al-Hasan and Muhammad used to say: "Muslim," while they were hesitant/cautious regarding saying: "Believer (mu'min)."
١٠٧٥ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، وَأَخْبَرَنَا الْمَيْمُونِيُّ ⦗٦٠٤⦘، قَالَ: ثَنَا ابْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ: ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ هِشَامًا، يَقُولُ: كَانَ الْحَسَنُ وَمُحَمَّدٌ يَقُولَانِ: مُسْلِمٌ، وَيَهَابَانِ: مُؤْمِنٌ "
