866 - 'Ismah ibn 'Asim informed me that Hanbal narrated to them, saying: I said to Abu 'Abdullah: "Allah the Almighty and Majestic created Adam, peace be upon him, for the earth, and He knew what would come from him before it happened. Allah the Almighty and Majestic said to the angels: 'Indeed, I am going to set a vicegerent on the earth' (Al-Baqarah: 30). This was before He created Adam; Allah already knew what would come from him before it happened." And I heard Abu 'Abdullah say: "Allah the Almighty and Majestic knew that Adam would eat from the tree which He forbade him from, before He created him."
٨٦٦ - وَأَخْبَرَنِي عِصْمَةُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، أَنَّ حَنْبَلًا حَدَّثَهُمْ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ: آدَمُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ خَلَقَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِلْأَرْضِ، وَعَلِمَ مَا هُوَ كَائِنٌ مِنْهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَكُونَ، قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ: {إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً} [البقرة: ٣٠] ، هَذَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْلُقَ آدَمَ قَدْ عَلِمَ اللَّهُ مَا هُوَ كَائِنٌ مِنْهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَكُونَ، وَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ: «عَلِمَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنَّ آدَمَ سَيَأْكُلُ مِنَ الشَّجَرَةَ الَّتِي نَهَاهُ عَنْهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْلُقَهُ»
