1095 - Muhammad ibn 'Ali informed me, saying: Abu Bakr al-Athram narrated to us, saying: Abu 'Abd Allah [Ahmad ibn Hanbal] narrated to us, saying: Mu'ammal said: Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us, saying: I heard Hisham saying: "Al-Hasan and Muhammad [ibn Sirin] used to say: 'A Muslim,' and they were cautious about saying 'A believer [Mu'min].'" I said to Abu 'Abd Allah: "Did anyone other than Mu'ammal narrate it?" He replied: "I do not know of any."
١٠٩٥ - أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْأَثْرَمُ، قَالَ: ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: مُؤَمَّلٌ قَالَ: ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ هِشَامًا، يَقُولُ: " كَانَ الْحَسَنُ وَمُحَمَّدٌ يَقُولَانِ: مُسْلِمٌ، وَيَهَابَانِ مُؤْمِنٌ ". قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ: رَوَاهُ غَيْرُ ⦗١٤⦘ مُؤَمَّلٍ؟ قَالَ: مَا عَلِمْتُ
