1324 - Abu Bakr informed us, saying: Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from 'Asim ibn Abi al-Najud, from Wa'il ibn Rabi'ah, who said: Ibn Mas'ud said: "False testimony is equivalent to associating partners with Allah." Then he recited: {So shun the impurity of idols and shun false speech} [Al-Hajj: 30].
