1357 - Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, he said: Abu 'Umar al-Darir narrated to us, from Hammad ibn Salamah, from 'Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib, who said: The Murji'ah were mentioned in the presence of Sa'id ibn Jubayr. He said: He struck a parable for them, saying: "Their example is like that of the Sabi'un (Sabians). They came to the Jews and asked, 'What is your religion?' They replied, 'Judaism.' They asked, 'Who is your Prophet?' They replied, 'Moses.' They asked, 'And what is for those who follow you?' They replied, 'Paradise.' Then they came to the Christians and asked, 'What is your religion?' They replied, 'Christianity.' They asked, 'What is your Book?' They replied, 'The Gospel.' They asked, 'Who is your Prophet?' They replied, 'Jesus.' They asked, 'And what is for those who follow you?' They replied, 'Paradise.' They said, 'So we adhere to it [all].'"
