1388 - Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, he said: Isma'il narrated to us, he said: Ayyub narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Mulaykah, from al-Miswar ibn Makhramah: "When 'Umar was struck, he began to fall into a state of unconsciousness. They said: 'You will not startle him with anything like the prayer, if there is any life left in him.' They said: 'The prayer, O Commander of the Faithful, it has already been performed.' He awoke and said: 'The prayer! By Allah, there is no share in Islam for one who abandons the prayer.' He said: So he prayed, while his wound was gushing blood."
