1393 - Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, he said: 'Abd Allah ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Muhammad, meaning Ibn Abi Isma'il, from Ma'qil al-Khath'ami, who said: A man came to 'Ali while he was in the Rahbah and said: "O Commander of the Faithful, what is your view regarding a woman who does not pray?" He replied: "Whoever does not pray is a disbeliever." The man said: "She suffers from istihada (prolonged non-menstrual bleeding)." He said: "Let her leave the prayer for the duration of her menstrual period, and when the duration of her period has passed, let her perform ghusl every day and use a wad of wool containing fat or oil."
