1412 - He said: Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, he said: Hushaym narrated to us, he said: 'Abd al-Malik ibn Abi Sulayman narrated to us, from Salamah ibn Kuhayl, from 'Alqamah and al-Aswad, that they asked Ibn Mas'ud about bribery (al-rishwah), and he replied: "It is the suht (illicit gain)." They both asked: "Is that in judgment?" He replied: "That is kufr (disbelief)." Then he recited this verse: {And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are the disbelievers} [Al-Ma'idah: 44]."
