1425 - He said: Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, he said: Waki' narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Abu al-Bakhtari, who said: Hudhayfah was asked regarding the verse: "And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, then it is those who are the disbelievers" [Al-Ma'idah: 44], "Is this concerning the Children of Israel?" Hudhayfah replied: "Yes. The hereafter is for you; as for the Children of Israel, if every sweet thing were for you and every bitter thing for them, you would still surely follow their path, stride for stride."
