1435 - Abu 'Abd Allah said: Abu Salamah Mansur ibn Salamah al-Khuza'i narrated to us, he said: Sulayman ibn Bilal narrated to us, he said: Yazid ibn Khusayfah narrated to me, he said: Busr ibn Sa'id informed me, he said: Abu Juhaym informed me that two men differed regarding an ayah (verse) of the Quran. One said: "I received it from the Messenger of Allah," and the other said: "I received it from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him." They asked the Prophet, peace be upon him, about it, and he said: "Verily, the Quran is recited in seven ahruf (modes/dialects); so do not dispute regarding the Quran, for disputing therein is disbelief (kufr)."
