1134 - Abu Bakr informed us, saying: Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: Harun ibn Ma'ruf narrated to us, saying: Damrah narrated to us, from Ibn Shawdhab, from Muhammad ibn Juhadah, from Salamah ibn Kuhayl, from Hudhayl ibn Shurahbil, who said: 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: "If the faith of Abu Bakr, may Allah have mercy upon him, were to be weighed against the faith of the people of the earth, it would outweigh them."
١١٣٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ، قَالَ: ثنا ضَمْرَةُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شَوْذَبٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُحَادَةَ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ هُزَيْلِ بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ، قَالَ: قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ: «لَوْ وُزِنَ إِيمَانُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ بِإِيمَانِ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ لَرَجَحَ بِهِمْ»
