1146 - Abu Bakr al-Marwudhi, Sulayman ibn al-Ash'ath, and Ahmad ibn Asram al-Muzani informed us—and this is the wording of Sulayman—he said: I asked Ahmad: "Is prayer performed behind a Murji'i?" He replied: "If he is a propagandist (da'iyah), then one should not pray behind him."
١١٤٦ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ، وَسُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْأَشْعَثِ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَصْرَمَ الْمُزَنِيُّ، وَهَذَا لَفْظُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَحْمَدَ: يُصَلَّى خَلْفَ الْمُرْجِئِ؟ قَالَ: «إِذَا كَانَ دَاعِيَةً فَلَا يُصَلَّى خَلْفَهُ»
