1469 - Abu Bakr al-Marwudhi informed us, saying: Abu Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, saying: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Ali ibn Mudrik, who said: I heard Abu Zur'ah ibn 'Amr ibn Jarir narrating from Jarir, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said to Jarir during the Farewell Pilgrimage: "Call the people to be silent." He said: And he said: "Do not return after me as disbelievers, striking the necks of one another."
