1667 - He said: Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, saying: 'Abd Allah ibn 'Umar narrated to us, from Sa'id ibn Abi Sa'id al-Maqburi, from Abu Hurayrah, that Thumamah ibn Uthal, or Uthalah, accepted Islam, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Take him to the orchard of the tribe of so-and-so, and command him to perform ghusl (a ritual bath)."
١٦٦٧ - قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، قَالَ: ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ ثُمَامَةَ بْنَ أُثَالٍ أَوْ أُثَالَةَ أَسْلَمَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اذْهَبُوا بِهِ إِلَى حَائِطِ بَنِي فُلَانٍ، فَمُرُوهُ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ»
