1719 - 'Abd Allah ibn Ahmad ibn Hanbal mentioned, saying: I heard my father say: "We used to attend the assembly of Abu Yusuf. Al-Mirrisi would come and sit at the very back of the people, then he would create a disturbance and call out: 'What are you saying? And what did you say, O Abu Yusuf?' He would continue to shout and shout. I used to hear Abu Yusuf saying: 'Bring him up to me.' Then one day he came and did the same thing, so Abu Yusuf said: 'Bring him up to me.' My father said: 'I was nearby, and he began to debate him on an issue, but some of what he said was unclear to me. I asked the person who was closer to him than I was: "What did he say to him?" He replied: "Abu Yusuf said: 'Do not prohibit, or you will ruin a piece of wood.'""
