1744 - Abu Bakr al-Marwadhi informed us, saying: Abu Bakr ibn Khallad al-Bahili narrated to us, saying: I heard Waki' saying: When the matter of Bishr al-Marisi occurred and death approached, we began reporting to Waki' about Bishr and his statements regarding the Qur'an and his denial of the Vision [of Allah]. Waki' became angry and I heard him say: "As for me, if I were asked about him, I would order them to demand he repent. If he repents, [it is well], otherwise I would order them to strike his neck and crucify him."
