1752 - 'Abd Allah ibn Ahmad ibn Hanbal informed us, saying: Ahmad ibn Ibrahim narrated to me, saying: Muhammad ibn Nuh al-Madrub narrated to me, from al-Mas'udi the judge, who said: I heard Harun, the Commander of the Faithful, saying: "It has reached me that Bishr al-Marisi claims that the Qur'an is created, and by Allah, it is incumbent upon me that if I lay my hands on him, I shall execute him in a manner that no one has ever been executed before."
١٧٥٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نُوحٍ الْمَضْرُوبُ، عَنِ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ ⦗١١٣⦘ الْقَاضِي، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ هَارُونَ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَقُولُ: «بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ بِشْرًا الْمِرِّيسِيَّ يَزْعُمُ أَنَّ الْقُرْآنَ مَخْلُوقٌ، وَاللَّهِ عَلَيَّ إِنْ ظَفِرْتُ بِهِ لَأَقْتُلَنَّهُ قِتْلَةً مَا قُتِلَهَا أَحَدٌ قَطُّ»
