1783 - Salih ibn Ali al-Halabi, from the family of Maymun ibn Mihran, informed us that he said to Abu Abd Allah: "What do you say about someone who practices al-waqf (non-committal)?" He replied: "[They say,] 'I do not say it is Creator, nor do I say it is created.'" He said: "He is like the one who said, 'The Quran is created,' and he is a Jahmi."
١٧٨٣ - أَخْبَرَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحَلَبِيُّ مِنْ آلِ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ: مَا تَقُولُ فِيمَنْ وَقَفَ؟ قَالَ: لَا أَقُولُ خَالِقٌ وَلَا مَخْلُوقٌ. قَالَ: ⦗١٣٠⦘ " هُوَ مِثْلُ مَنْ قَالَ: الْقُرْآنُ مَخْلُوقٌ، وَهُوَ جَهْمِيٌّ "
