142 - ʿAbdullāh narrated to us: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ṣāliḥ al-Azdī narrated to me: Yaʿlā ibn ʿUbayd narrated to us, from Muḥammad ibn ʿAwn, from Ibrāhīm ibn ʿĪsā, from ʿAbdullāh ibn Masʿūd, who said: "Be springs of knowledge, lamps of guidance, fixtures of your homes, lights of the night, refreshed of heart, wearing worn-out clothes; you will be known among the inhabitants of heaven and hidden among the inhabitants of the earth."
