145 - ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us: Aḥmad ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Mahdī narrated to us, saying: I, Abū al-Khaṣīb, ʿAbd Allāh ibn Thaʿlaba, and Bishr ibn al-Sariyy agreed with Bishr ibn Manṣūr to visit him. When we came to him, he said: "I sought guidance from Allah regarding your companionship, and what prevailed in my heart was that you should not come." (1).
