15 - ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us, saying: Al-Muthannā ibn Muʿādh narrated to me, saying: Muʾammal ibn Ismāʿīl narrated to us, saying: Ḥammād ibn Zayd, Ḥammād ibn Salama, and Sufyān ibn ʿUyayna narrated to us, from Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Ṣaʿṣaʿa, from his father, from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, who said: The Messenger of Allāh, Peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: "The time is near when the best property of a Muslim will be sheep with which their owner follows the mountain peaks and places where rain falls, fleeing with his religion from tribulations." I say: A group of his companions narrated it from Ibn Abī Ṣaʿṣaʿa, among whom are:
1 - Sufyān ibn ʿUyayna; from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Ṣaʿṣaʿa:
It was transmitted by Aḥmad (3/6) and Nuʿaym ibn Ḥammād in al-Fitan (no. 726).
I say: Nuʿaym made an error in it, saying: "ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān," whereas the correct form is the reverse.
2 - Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd; and everyone who narrated it from Yaḥyā:
a - ʿAbd Allāh ibn Numayr:
It was transmitted by Ibn Mājah (3980) and Aḥmad (3/60).
b - ʿAbd al-Wahhāb al-Thaqafī:
It was transmitted by Nuʿaym ibn Ḥammād in al-Fitan (217, 723).
3 - ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Abī Salama ibn al-Mājashūn:
It was transmitted by al-Bukhārī (3600, 6495).
