26 - ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us, he said: Isḥāq ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us, he said: Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd narrated to us, from Thawr ibn Yazīd, from Sulaym ibn ʿĀmir, from Abū al-Dardāʾ, who said: "What an excellent hermitage for a Muslim man his home is! In it he restrains his tongue, his private parts, and his sight. And beware of sitting in the marketplaces, for they distract and cause idle talk." (1)

(135), Hanād (1235), and Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim (80)—all of them in al-Zuhd; Ibn Abī Shayba (13/309); Qiwām al-Sunna in al-Targhīb wa-l-Tarhīb (2234); and al-Bayhaqī in al-Shuʿab (10656). 3 - ʿĪsā ibn Yūnus: Transmitted by al-Bayhaqī in al-Zuhd (128).
